Ms. Alicia Artlip

Our 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year is Ms. Alicia Artlip. She has been married for ten years and has two children, Logan, 7, and Sydney, age 3.

She graduated from Central High School in Pageland, then graduated from Winthrop University with a degree in Elementary Education. She continued her education on mostly nights and weekends to receive her Masters from USC and she is a Nationally Board Certified teacher.

Her teaching career began in a first grade classroom in Ruby, SC before she moved to Columbia. She then taught in Swansea for three years and finally to Pair, where she has been for the last nine years.

Ms. Artlip’s love for the challenges that children provide are the reasons for her being in education. Her favorite color is red and she likes Mexican food, music, and talking with friends and family. We appreciate Ms. Artlip and her determination to do whatever she can to help our students have success. Congratulations on being our TEACHER of the Year!!
